Description
Mark McAfee discusses the extensive health benefits of raw dairy products, and dispels the most frequently heard myths about the dangers of raw dairy. “The dairy industry does not understand what is explained here in detail. What the dairy industry believes is that raw milk contaminates pasteurized milk. This is not the case. Pasteurized milk kills the safety systems that control pathogens in raw milk and therefore permit unlimited growth of dangerous bacteria if present.”The typical conventional milk tank had either salmonella or E. coli detected about 30 percent of the time. In comparison, Organic Pastures has never had one pathogen—ever. “. . tested our milk cows’ fresh manure and did not find any human pathogens. That’s right. . . no Salmonella. She was able to show that when antibiotics are not ever used on the herd (as stipulated in the organic standards) and when cows are not stressed (grass-fed and kept healthy) they simply do not slough off pathogens in their manure.SPEAKER: Mark McAfee is president of Organic Pastures Dairy Company, established in 1999 to supply organic raw milk to consumers in California. He developed and implemented the first mobile Grade A milking barn, allowing cows to be milked in the pasture. Mark has worked closely with government officials and university researchers to demonstrate the superior safety of raw milk.A single AVI video file of about 2 hours lecture by Mark McAfee and continue with another 2 hours conference “Nourishing Traditional Diets, The Key to Vibrant Health” by Sally Fallon Morell, President The Weston A.
