By the late 1800s Pierre Vigny created one of the most complete and effective European stick fighting systems ever devised. During the early to mid- twentieth century a number of military, police and martial arts establishments utilized the Vigny system for their own use. These groups included the Kapap and Pal’mach Special Forces along with the inclusion in a 1940s supplemental manual for the United States H2H combat teams.During the early 1920s Superintendent H. G. Lang of the Kathiawar Agency Police introduced a training syllabus for his men based on the Vigny method. Over the course of time this syllabus would become the standard method of stick fighting for the Indian Police Force.Volume -2 introduces viewers to a number of interconnecting guards essential to understanding the Vigny system of walking stick combat, this DVD showcases an array of offensive and defensive choices specific to the Vigny auxiliary fighting postures.
